Start at Tel Aviv University. Run toward the sea. The direct route would be on one of the main roads, but it is more fun to loop through Ramat Aviv and Ramat Aviv Gimel, enjoying the street life. The best part, however, is that you can run right next to the small regional airport and UNDER AIRPLANES LANDING seemingly right on your head! The runway is close to the road, and if you time it right, planes will come screaming down right over your head. And then if you continue, you will be at the sea. It isn't a long run, maybe 5K round trip, but it is fun. The run can be extended by running south to HaYarkon Park and running along the water there. If you are lucky, you can spot the national crew teams practicing---there is an enormous boathouse toward the sea. |
