A wonderful and very scenic stretch (about 6 miles in length) of the old railway line that used to climb its way up to Cortina d'Ampezzo, famous italian ski resort located in the Dolomites mountain range. You run at altitude climbing from 900 mt asl at the starting point in VODO di Cadore all the way to 1100 mt asl of SAN VITO di Cadore where the asphalt ends. Usually very well kept by the locals in the winter as in the summer, it is an ideal (traffic free) path to run. A gentle climb and a swift descent will make a great work out if you go out and back from Vodo di Cadore. |
