Start at the Matthews/Winters parking lot just off I-70 W. Take the trail about 1 mile to the fork and go right (Morrison Slide). This part of the trail is steep switchback until you reach the summit where you can enjoy a nice view of the front range area. Take this trail across and down hill. Bear left back to Red Rocks trail toward the Matthews/Winters parking lot for closeure to the loop.
