When I run this course I start
at my house and run down to state route 3 and run beside the cars for 3/4 of a mile until I hit Big Valley Rd. where I turn left. Once on Big Valley there is a minor but steady incline for almost a mile and then the road dips and becomes flat. While on this flat stretch which is at least 2 miles you pass Manor Farm Inn, a multi-million dollar business. There are not very many cars to bother you while runnung this course.
after the flat strech there is a steady down-hill grade until the road elevates for the last 1/2 mile. At that point you are at the end of the road and I turn around and head back to my house. All in all, the course is just over 6 miles both ways and it only downside is of course, the distance. |
