Acadia National Park has over 52 miles of gravel carriage paths.They are closed to cars, perfectly groomed and go past lakes, ocean and mountains. Many carriage path entrances exist and runs of any length can be done.Be sure and check out the granite arched bridges. The paths were built in the early 1900s for Horse and Buggy traffic. Mostly two legged traffic now.
