Start at Lovers Point City Park in Pacific Grove located at the southern tip of the Monterey Bay. Take the Rec Trail (paved, off hiway) north. Pass the Monterey Bay Aquarium (mile 1) thru Cannery Row to Fishermans' Wharf (mile 3). Thru Eucaliptus grove to Seaside Beach. Over the top of huge sandunes at Sand City (mile 6) Past Old Fort Ord (mile 10). Thru town of Marina to Marina State Beach (Mile 13.1) Turn around and run back for a total of 26.2 miles; its the u-name-it marathon! Water and toilets available all along the way.
Trail is paved and entirely off hiway except for 1.5 mi segment in Marina. |
