Favorite Runs - Dam to Dam

Location:	Des Moines, IA, USA
Description:	One of the best 20k runs in the US! First Saturday in June each year. There were over 2,000 finishers last year. Course record is an astounding 59:23.85!! That's a sub-5 minute mile pace! Starting at Saylorville Dam and Lake, the route starts out very picturesque and rural. It takes a country road route into the outskirts of Des Moines, through some nice neigborhoods (brings a lot of people out along the route!) and into downtown Des Moines. Great organization and great support (although last year, the first water station had mysteriously become a ghost station).
