Favorite Runs - Decker's Run

Location:	Woonsocket, SD, USA
Description:	There's a dirt road north of town that used to be the "make-out" place. It is a soft black dirt road (not gravel) that is not maintained in the winter. Used to love running there in both the summer and winter. In the summer, the sunset was amazing and the smell of fresh cut hay, the deer, the ring-necked pheasants and other wildlife made it peaceful yet exciting. In the winter, you may have the chance to run on top of wind-swept snow drifts. If you have ever run on snow drifts, you never know when you will stay on top or sink down to your waist. You get the knack of which drift gives you the best chance to stay on top.
