I speed walked the 1/2 marathon and it was truly invigerating. The Winding hills had spectacular views. I hadn't run/walked uphill before but did run/on 6 acres of up and down land plus exercised at gym on leg strengthening machines,So, for next year I will be more prepared as continuing leg strengthening exercises throughout year. Celebrate the new birthday each year 2 weeks prior and at almost 62 feel better then I did 4 years ago when I started the 1/2 marathon. Go for it and enjoy.
