| Description: | Telephone road starts about 3 miles west of I-25 on Horsecreek Road (CR 215). It starts next to about 40 mailboxes where the pavemetn ends and the dirt begins. It is an out and back course that heads north to County Road 224. As a crow flies, it would be 9 miles, but it is actually closer to 9 3/4 out for about 19.5 miles total. There are 1 mile roads for the first 5 miles before you hit an unmaintained road to help determine your pace. Since it is all dirt it doesn't take its toll on your body. It has about 25 hills on the way out for 50 hills total. It is a great long run for marathon training. |
