I was registered to run the Illinois marathon and needed to make a quick switch of races. I was so lucky to find this as it is 45 minutes from home and I was trying to BQ. The stars aligned for me. I was so lucky I was able to register 2 days before. When I picked up my packet, the man in charge (I think his name was Dave) shook my hand and told me everything I needed to know. The event couldn't have been more organized and professional. I saw 'Dave' as I was walking to the start and he stopped to wish me good luck. If your want a BQ do this race. The support of the volunteers is a experience I'll never forget. They push and encourage you much to get that BQ. I was really nervous about the loops but it was actually a nice alternative to count loops versus miles. I qualified for Boston. I might do this again in fall. My cut off was only 53 seconds. This is a top notch event.
