Such a well run event! All details were paid attention to.
I was so happy this race came back, and wasn’t disappointed. I can only imagine how hard it was to coordinate a race between two countries and this was done so well. The only thing that would have really made it epic would be if the weather cooperated, but that is out of the race directors control, and we all looked bada$$ in the cold rain. Cannot wait until next year!

Amazing volunteers and support for a challenging course
This race never fails to disappoint in organization, logistics, volunteers, support, hills, and post-race food! I love the community involvement and the small town touches of locally-based food for the post-race tent. The volunteers were numerous and always willing to help. The logistics of a two-country marathon are far beyond other marathons and the new race director and race committee truly attended to all the details. Their efforts to bring this race back were successful and I will always enjoy the uniqueness of this marathon which encompasses the residents of Lubec Maine, & Campobello Island, New Brunswick. The beautiful handmade awards capture the beauty of Downeast, Maine. Despite the challenging, relentless hills of Campobello Island, there is nothing more satisfying than crossing the bridge overlooking both countries right before crossing the finish line.

Beautiful course with the nicest people you will ever meet.
**clarification** This is for the half-marathon course.
After a 5 year hiatus, this event came back in a spectacular fashion. The weekend included a 10K, 13.1, and 26.2 option. The halfarathon was an all new course and I cludes spectacular mixed surface runs from West Quoddy to and through Campobello and back to Lubec for a finish line feast.
Running through open borders is incredible. The communities on both sides of the border come out on full support. The many, many volunteers are the most friendly I have ever met. You feel like you're chatting with family. Race directors are well organized.
My daughter and I ran this as a Duo team. We were warned about hills, and while the course is predominantly a series of rolling hills, they are as manageable as they are challenging. You will earn your medal, but not be afraid of the challenge.
