From the most easterly point in the USA accross the border to Canada, and back (marathon). Half starts in Canada (Campobello Island) and finishes on the waterfront in Lubec, Maine. 52K is marathon course plus a 10K out to the start! 10K is fast and flat from West Quoddy Head into Lubec (no border crossing).

The 29-year-old Mulcahy not only shattered her own womens course standard, she also ran a sub 3-hour marathon for the first time in the unique cross-border event that traverses from Americas easternmost point at West Quoddy Head to Campobello Island, Canada, then back across the Roosevelt Memorial Bridge to the finish line in downtown Lubec.

The third annual Bay of Fundy International Marathon is scheduled to be staged through two countries, starting at the easternmost of the continental United States  West Quoddy Head  and crossing the Roosevelt Memorial Bridge onto Campobello Island, Canada, before returning to the finish line in downtown Lubec. The race comes just one weekend after two other marathons in the region, The Great Run on Great Cranberry Island last Saturday and Sundays Black Bear Marathon at the University of Maine in Orono.
