Nice, small rural race
This race offered scenic, flat road course along farms, fields, woods and distant Lake Ontario.
It was a small race, very well organized with excellent support from volunteers.
Minor negatives:
Sport/energy drinks were diluted so much that they tasted like water.
Another minor problem: half-marathoners started two hours after the marathon and suddenly the course was overcrowded past the half-point mark.
Overall it was a nice run. Thank you!

Excellent Marathon
I was looking for a Marathon to enter whilst visiting Canada/USA and stumbled upon this race. It is a smaller event with ~600 full/half/relay runners. The organizers run a 1st rate race that is indeed dominantly along country farming roads and flat. Well serviced and plentiful aid stations with water/gatoraid and 2 gel stations in the later stages. The are not a lot of spectators, but those there are very supportive, there are plenty of fans at the finish to give you that final boast across the line! Free massages and showers available as well. This is a great course and race to achieve a BQ. Overall I was very pleased with this event and kudos to the organizers for putting on such a well run race. A unique swag item in addition to the normal medal and tech shirt was a pair of race socks with the event logo...nice extra!

My 59th Marathon! A nice little race!
I mostly look down on Cdn races since they tend to be overpriced and overhyped. I ran this for the first time and was impressed with the free (cold) shower (notice lack of plurality), free parking, plenty of aid stations, free massages and strong volunteer support. It is a pretty route that has a few hills at the end. Worth doing and since you are near the Tyendega reserve you can get really cheap gas!
