Wisconsin runner finishes first in Indy's Monumental Marathon
(Indy Star) The Indianapolis Monumental Marathon was won by Mathew Chesang of Eau Claire Wisconsin who finished with a time of 2 hours 21 minutes. More than six-thousand runners participated in the race.

Chesang Wins Monumenal
(Indy Star) Mathew Chesan won the Indianapolis Monumental Marathon on Saturday with a time of 2 hours 21 minutes while Molly Brown=Boulay won the women's race in 3 hours 7 minutes and 29 seconds.

Students to Run in 26.2, 13.1 mile-race Saturday at Indianapolis Monumental Marathon
(Indiana Daily Student) More than fifty-six hundred runners have entered the Monumental Marathon taking place on Saturday. Including students from Indiana University. More than 44 states will be represented and six countries.

(Indy Star) The Indiapolis Monumental Marathon will canvass most of the northern half of the downtown area. More than three-thousand walkers and runners will cause roads to close from 5 am through nearly 2 pm.

Inaugural Indianapolis Monumental Marathon and Half-Marathon
(Indy Star) The inaugural Indianapolis Monumental Marathon and Half-Marathon will take place at 8 am Saturday morning in downtown Indianapolis. Proceeds will benefit local education initiatives and benefit the Mind Trust non profit group and College Summit.

New Indianapolis Marathon planned for November
(Indy Star) Indianapolis is going to try to pull it off again. This time with a prize purse of $10,800 dollars and a benefactor with the Marion County schools. The race director Ken Long is claiming to not be affiliated with the ill-fated Indy race from last fall that was delayed and then canceled much to the disappointment of thousands.
