Runners tackle world's smallest Tresco Marathon
(This is Cornwall)
With a starting field of ninety-nine runners, the tenth annual Tresco Marathon raises money for research into cystic fibrosiis. In his debut marathon,Ivan Hollingsworth, 33, of Newcastle, took first place honors with a time of two hours 58, minutes and 57 seconds.

"Smallest" could refer to the number of competitors (130) or the circuit (3.6 miles). But it certainly doesn't refer to the distance - participants are expected to do seven and a half laps ie the full 26.2 miles. What's worse, each lap has four hills, making London a doddle in comparison.
