Ledger Wins Run Barbados Marathon
(Stabroek News) Victor Ledger won his six Powerade Barbados Marathon on Sunday with a time of 2 hours 32 minutes and 29 seconds. Penina Sawe of Kenya won the women's division in 3 hours 13 minutes and 34 seconds.

Run Barbados Marathon Festival numbers still low.
(Nation News) Rawle Clarke, race director for the Scotia Bank sponsored Barbados Marathon, said he was generally satisfied with the marathon he will work harder to get the numbers in the marathon much high for next year. Just over 100 runners competed in the 26.2 mile race.

Barbados Marathon Still on Wobbly Legs
(The Nation Newspaper) Following the 2008 Barbados Marathon, disappointment from the organizers, the locales and the participants continues to surface. While runners complained of steep ascents and having too much sun in their eyes, the local government feels the economic benefit of staging a large event is lacking. Some blame the lack of competitive runners, some blame previous foreign management.

Ledger-ly victory in Run Barbados Marathon
(The Barbados Advocate) Victor Ledger won the Barbados Marathon by over 7 minutes to claim his second consecutive title. Amy Chalk would be greeted by her 13 month old daughter as she crossed the finish line in just over 3 hours.

Bajans in form for Run Barbados Marathon
(The Nation Newspaper.) Keith Cumberbatch and Patrick Bourne, who recently conquered the Sandals 10K in 35.23 and 36.42 taking 1st and 2nd in the masters division, their eyes set on the Run Barbados Marathon. The two were 6th and 9th overall. Teammate Lester Phillips who placed third in the masters' and 15th overall in 41.12, could allow for a clean sweep in the Run Barbados Marathon

St. Lucian Wins Annual Run Barbados Marathon
(International Herald Tribune) Ledger completed the 42.2 kilometers (26.2 miles) in 2 hours, 29 minutes, 49 seconds, ahead of Pamenos Ballantyne of St. Vincent (2:33.32).
