Tough but Gorgeous
This is a beautiful location but be prepared for a tough climb. It's two 6.5ish mile out-and-backs for the marathon and the first half or so of that 6.5 is pretty much all uphill. Then, there are smaller climbs. Good news is the last 2 1/2 or so of each loop is downhill! Be prepared! (There are no spectators - thus the '1'.) The view of the PA Grand Canyon at the top is lovely. Overall, a well-done small race and Wellsboro (10 miles away) is a cute town with food and lodging options.
