Easy, easy, and well run out and back marathon. Many thanks to the organizers.

Awesome course. Basically flat with some very gradual includes. On an asphalt bike path that's shaded most of the way. Great small marathon. You can arrive 30 minutes prior, park and be at the start line in plenty of time. Great food after. Huge assortment of fresh fruit along with plenty of other food. A must do for anyone trying to qualify for Boston.

"Don't know why more runners don't run this maratho" (about: 2017)

I truly do not know why there are not more runners. Course is paved trail with a lot of shaded areas. Road crossings are well patrolled. Organizers cannot be responsible for weather. Luck of wisconsin weather in late september. Only complaint is course is open to bikers who seem oblivious to a race going on and more concerned with their training. Almost was clipped by some spandex biker who must have been 30 seconds behind his self imposed PR.

"Nice course with adequate support." (about: 2016)

Prior to the race, I was a bit concerned with the 250 ft elevation rise from mile 3.5 to mile 7, but it occurs so gradually that you don't even notice it. My other concern was the 8:00 start in September due to the heat potential this time of year. This concern proved to be valid as the 2016 race took place on a sunny, warm and humid day. The aid stations were frequent enough to maintain hydration and the post-race refreshments were very nice. I hit my time goal without a second to spare, but struggled with the heat during the last few miles.

"Well organized, hassle free, small marathon." (about: 2016)

Ditto the previous comments. This was a no nonsense marathon. Nearly the entire length was run on a hard surface bike trail with very gentle slopes and some trees providing shade. The small field of marathon runners allowed me to run alone most of the time after the half marathon turn around point. It turned out to be a little warm and humid on that particular day. Organization and aid stations were very good. There was an amazing selection of post race food. Area traffic was very light, allowing easy navigation to the parking area at the start/finish line. Running a marathon that weekend was a last minute decision for me. I signed up for the marathon a half hour before the start after arriving in town late the night before the race. It can't get much easier than that.

"Simple, basic, marathon" (about: 2016)

Simple marathon, out and back on asphalt trail. Long and very gradual incline on miles 2-6. No hills. Very few spectators, nice simple aid stations, water and sport drink. No water stop after mile 23-26. Parked 50 yards from start and finish. Stood in line to register day of.....2 minute wait. Not bad....very nice medal.
