Beautiful hilly trail run

Lots of uphills and downhills (3800' of elevation gain), stairs, a stream crossing at mile 11, and something called 'Nutcracker Hill' at mile 25. You won't be setting a PR on this course, but still the most challenging and beautiful runs out there. If a marathon's not enough, you can sign up for the 50k.

Nearly 2,000 participate in Silver Falls Trail Runs

On Nov. 7 and 8 more than 2,000 runners from 30 different states came to the park to test their limits and enjoy its scenic beauty. It marked the sixth year of the Silver Falls Trail Runs put on by Salem-based Run Wild Adventures. The runs included a 50k, a marathon, a half marathon and a 7-mile run.

Silver Falls races open for registration August 1

The Silver Falls Marathon and Half Marathon, one of the most popular trail races in Oregon, opens for online registration at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 1.
