Nice course, great volunteer effort.
Hopefully next year's event will have more running participants. I ran out of gas late in the marathon and without any other runners around it was very difficult to keep moving much less maintain pace. Felt a little like a 26.2 mile time trial.
Most of the course was asphalt but some was concrete which was very noticable. About 40-50% of the course was shadded.
Weather was great with a little drizzle that turned to sunshine.
Aid stations were awesome.
Volunteer work was awesome.
Course management between walkers and runners was the best I have seen. (no congestion)
T-shirt is an ugly lavendar cotton tie-dye. Not fit for wearing but fits the Eugene hippie theme I guess.

An amazing experience
What a beautiful course! Mostly flat, with enough "bumps" to keep it interesting and use some different muscles. This was my second marathon, nice and low-key and very well organized. Not many spectators - it was more of a quiet, peaceful experience along the river. The course was fast - I took almost half an hour off my last time without really trying! The turn-around worked great. I would have like a couple more volunteers at some crucial turns, but overall it was a fabulous weekend. Oh, and the brownies and minty things were really good. I'll be back next year with more friends! I love that there are three different races with long finish times to accommodate all levels of fitness. Thanks to all!

No fluids at the finish line.
We traveled 3000 miles to do this race.
Beautiful course, wonderful weather, brownies and pretzels
as promised at the H2O stops. But my wife and I both got big blisters on our feet and took over 8hrs to finish.
When we got to the finish line, they had boxed up everything. When I asked for fluids for us, the woman said 'We boxed it all up'. When commenting on no fluids ,she said 'there's a water faucet (not a fountain) over there'. And it was in a sink. I asked for a cup, she didn't have any.
My comment is 'for a race that brags of a 9hr time limit, they should have had a drink left for us. Most races have
Gatorade,Cola, and water at the finish line. A real disappointment, then about a mile walk to the Hotel room.
The workers at the water stops were
absolutely wonderful. Our hats off to them and all their efforts.
