Tórshavn Marathon

For those who like a race, on good tarmac roads, without the screaming crowds, this one is for you. With around about 10 cattle-grid crossings, and two 100M climbs, this course will seriously test your body to the limits. Should you choose to take it easy, the views around Kaldvigfjord are superb. All the details of how to get there and registration are clearly spelled out on the Torshavn Marathon website. The running clubs of the Faroes have worked hard to give all race participants the necessary support for running the 42.2KM. I for one hope to return in the future to spend more than just a short weekend in Torshavn.
