A Great Add-On to the Antarctica Marathon!!

A perfect end to the incredible Antarctica Marathon experience. The marathon itself is small, but has a large spirit. The race starts in a national park at the southern most point of the pan-American highway. Spectator were sparse until you came into town but were very energetic. It is the only marathon I have ever heard of that offers to take you to the start by catamaran.

Good, small, international event

I ran the race 12 days after the Antarctica Marathon. It was a convenient run on my way to 7 continents (1 continent to go). The race was small and fairly well organized for a small race. The course was mildly difficult and challenging. If you're in the vicinity of Ushuaia (post Antarctica), this is worthwhile.

Great Place; Great Race; Great Time

I agree with Will Smith's comments below. At the finish line about 100 espectators made a lot of noise when we arrived, and our name and country where announced. Not so many competitors but the 300 represented a lot of different countries. Last, but not least, I ran my best time ever in this race, until the next marathon.
