COURSE: 3 ORGANIZATION: 4 FANS: 2 2017 Skopje marathon Probably one of the flattest marathon courses I have run. Two laps starting in main square including 3 long out and back roads. Very minimal crowds apart from at start.Drinks stations were a little random in their distances but well manned with bottled water and fruit with one having energy drink. First lap was quite busy as you run with half marathoners and relay runners but second lap was a bit lonely. Weather was warm and sunny with a shower towards the end.For ¬15 you get entry, a technical t shirt, medal and the pleasure of running a marathon in an unusual location. All in all I would recommend this marathon. |
