The marathon starts on a downhill slope on 55th Street winding through streets until it reaches the picturesque paved trail system which follows the meandering Red Deer River. The course is the certified distance of 42.195 km and is predominately flat with three elevation gains of 18, 20 and 33m. Runners can see the finish line of the last downhill approximately 1 km from the finish line. Boston Qualifier.
