2025 Starved Rock Country Marathon and Half Marathon - Race Reviews

The course was changed to an out and back because of flooding which meant more hills but a better course in my opinion. A small race that was very well run.

Picked this race to complete my 50 States for second time around. Good organization and communications from RD. Packet pick up easy, started on time, plenty of water stops and porta-potties on course. Several long challenging hills but a fair test. Route through Starved Rock park is beautiful. Only glitch was fairly long wait for official results/age group awards due to timing issues but it was cleared up eventually. Plenty of good restaurants and hotels in Ottawa. I'd do it again.
