Colorado Springs Marathon - Race Reviews

While the volunteers were friendly enough and the trail scenic, there was 1 vendor at the 'expo,' there were no post race massages or high tech shirts as promised on the website, and little food for the marathon finishers. We seemed to be an afterthought to the more populated half marathon, an especially disappointing experience for a friend running her first full 26.2. When I see the finish photo, literally the only one cheering at the finish was someone from our own group; it was a ghost town. When I contacted the race director about unfulfilled promises, they were unapologetic--'supply chain issues' were the reason for an inferior cotton shirt. I wish they had communicated this. With all the choices we have for races, I do NOT recommend this race to other runners.
