Beautiful but not so flat

Ran it this year and it was beautiful but not at all what it is described to be. It is NOT flat at all. There were sections of the race that the hills were so steep both going up and down you couldn't run. There is a LOT of loose gravel and there are not a ton of aid stations. The stations near the finish line had warm water and powerade, it was horrible because the temperatures were much warmer than expected. A few other things to keep in mind, they advertise 'bubbly' at the finish line. There was not only no bubbly but nothing, no oranges, no bananas nothing, if you wanted a beer you had to buy it. The last thing to keep in mind is your registration doesn't get you a shirt or anything. You get a plastic water bottle and a granola bar. This is the first time in a marathon or even a half marathon where there was no shirt provided, very surprised. So although a gorgeous town, the race is not all what it's cracked up to be.
