As the race that is &ldquo;For Runners, By Runners&rdquo; we intend to improve the runner experience every year.&nbsp; Here is what we recently improved:

A new finish line experience with monitors showing your name and finishing time as you cross.

Courtesy changing tents available (next to the bag check tent in the finisher&rsquo;s area).

<li class="wixui-rich-text__text">
Race fly-through video and a personalized photo gallery so you can brag on social media available the next day.
</li>
<li class="wixui-rich-text__text">
A BQ/PR bell, which will have a photographer to take pictures. So we want to encourage everyone one that runs a BQ or PR to stop by and ring the bell and get a picture!

A new addition is a Recovery Tent for runners to relax, get a massage or stretch by one of the massage therapists or physical therapists that will be in the Recovery area.

<li class="wixui-rich-text__text">
&lsquo;Motivation Mile&rsquo; signs, which are lined with inspirational messages from our club members, fellow runners, and others, to help you push through mentally where you need it most.

<li class="wixui-rich-text__text">
Expo located on the course for ease of pickup and to build familiarity of the last mile of the course.​​

Retired ice hockey professional player Zdeno Chara qualified for the 2024 Boston Marathon during his run at the 2023 Baystate Marathon.

Dan Vassallo won the 2022 Baystate Marathon in 2:19.44 while Megan Boucher won the women's race in 2:45.21.

Wilmington native Vassallo claims Baystate glory, sets marathon record

Samuel Fazioli won the 2021 Baystate Marathon in 2:21:58 while Kerin Hempel won the women's race in 2:52:22.

Andrew McCann won the 2019 Baystate Marathon in 2:35.51.7 while Jordan O'Dea won the women's race in 2:38.57.4.
