Now in its 12th year, the Newport News One City Marathon is a great point-to-point marathon option located in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. This course is known for its fast times and a high percentage of Boston Qualifying times.
There are also additional race distances available including half marathon, 5K and Nautical Mile fun run. If you are up for a challenge, run the 5K on Saturday, and either the half or full marathon Sunday!&nbsp;
The Newport News One City Marathon is a point-to-point road race covering the full 26.2-mile marathon distance through the heart of Newport News, Virginia. The course spans the entire city, offering scenic views of the Virginia Peninsula&rsquo;s parks, waterways, and historic neighborhoods. Runners finish in the vibrant downtown area, home to Newport News Shipbuilding&mdash;the sole provider of aircraft carriers for the United States Navy.
After crossing the finish line, celebrate your achievement in style at The Yard District during the One City Celebration, where runners and spectators can relive the day's highlights with food, music, and fun.

The race has a 7-hour time limit, which requires runners to maintain a 16:00-minute-per-mile pace. Participants must reach the following checkpoints by the designated times:

Runners who do not meet the checkpoint times may either:

The Newport News One City Marathon is a Boston Qualifying race, making it a top choice for runners aiming for a qualifying time on a flat and scenic course. Join us for a fun 5k run/walk and help us raise money for our annual 11th Battalion Bandit Ball. The race will start in front of Anderson Field House on Fort Eustis, VA at 0615. Day of registration is available (Cash/ Venmo will be available). Please come support us in making an unforgettable night for the &#34;Over the Shore&#34; Soldiers.
