Both courses are net downhill, but provide some elevation changes and varied running surfaces, including both pavement and gravel/dirt trails.

The 2024 Monument Marathon raised a record amount of scholarship funding because of a record number of runners.

Joe Wilson won the 2024 Monument Marathon in 2:46:45 while Rebecca Peterson won the women's race in 3:26:26.

The 2024 Monument Marathon on September 28 still needs volunteers.

Bryan Morseman broke the course record for the 2023 Monument Marathon in 2:28:49 while Rebecca Peterson broke the women's record in 3:05.28.
