<p>The Powderface Mountain Marathon is an Alberta trail running classic - a &lsquo;must-do&rsquo; for any trail runner. The Powderface Mountain Marathon serves up 42.6 km and ~ 1286m of elevation gain on some beautiful K-Country singletrack. <p class=""><strong>Hot tips from past runners:</strong></p>
<p class="">If you&rsquo;re a fan of the incredible 5 Peaks Trail Running Series events, please know that the vibe is just as incredible but this course is much more challenging. Do your research and training. You should have realistically run a minimum of 25km-30km on trail before attempting this race. The elevation is significant and practicing once a month on your local hill ain&rsquo;t going to cut it. HIT THE TRAILS- Calgary Trial Runners or Canmore Trail Culture are great and supportive groups for training on the trails in the Bow Valley.</p>
<p class=""><strong>Suggested Equipment:</strong></p>
<p class="">- running vest with a minimum of 1.5 L water/electrolytes &nbsp;</p>
<p class="">- snacks/proper fuel is required so you can properly energize your body. The aid stations are spectacular but ensure you have your own fuel for in between.</p>
<p class="">- bear spray</p>
<p class="">- shell &amp; buff-come prepared for any weather! There might be sun, hail, snow, lighting, rain-you never know what you&rsquo;re going to get</p>
