This is a sanctioned, certified course and a Boston Marathon qualifier.&nbsp; It offers a free technical shirt, transportation to the start, "all you can eat" fundraiser pasta dinner, &nbsp;post race fundraiser lunch, rockin' post dinner/dance and a medal to all who finish along with awards for those who place. &nbsp;This little town of 420 people goes all out for the race and is the biggest event of the year in Marathon (the gateway town to Big Bend National Park.) 100% of the proceeds go to our health center, school and fire dpt. Area runners are encouraged to take part in Saturday, June 13's Marathon to Marathon which starts in Storm Lake and ends in Marathon. Over 35 states and multiple countries will have runners in the race which is one of the oldest sanctioned marathons running in Iowa.
