Deputies to Run in Siberia to Raise Money for Charities
(Ventura County Star) Ventura County Sheriff deputies, as members of Cops Running for Charity are traveling to Omsk, Russia to participate in the 2010 Siberian International Marathon to raise money for Childrens Hospital, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, ALS-Lou Gehrig's Disease and the Make-a-Wish Foundation. | ||

Bryzgalov and Yadzhak win Siberian International Marathon
(IAAF) Andrey Bryzgalov and Liliya Yadzhak, both from the Russian city of Cheliabinsk, won the 2008 Siberian International Marathon finishing in 2:15.29 and 2:33:41 respectively. Bryzgalov outsprinted Yevgeniy Bozhko in the last six kilometers. Bozhko crossed in 2:15:49 and Rik Ceulemans came third in 2:28:13. In the women's race Yadzhak employed the same strategy as Bozhko outkicking her competition with 10k to go. Tatyana Pushkareva was second in 2:34:55 and Iraida Pudovkina was third in 2:37:19. | ||
