Big Sur International Marathon's "Just Run" Program
              Receives Children's Miracle Network Grant

CARMEL, Calif. - The 2006 Big Sur International Marathon has announced
receipt of a $20,000 grant from Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital thru the
Children's Miracle Network for the recently inaugurated "Just Run", a
cooperative program designed to promote health and fitness to school
children in the 2nd thru 8th grades.

"We are delighted with this support," said Mike Dove, Founder and Director
of the "Just Run" program. "The Children's Miracle Network has made is
possible for us to expand our fitness, health and wellness program to many
other schools that may not ordinarily get the chance to participate and
reach children that may not otherwise have access to health and wellness
programs."

During the recent BSIM race weekend in late April, 40 schools and over
2,500 students - many from the "Just Run" program - participated in the
KION 5K Family Fun Run.

Founded by Marie Osmond and John Schneider, Children's Miracle Network is
an international non-profit organization dedicated to raising funds for and
awareness of children's hospitals. Begun in 1983, Children's Miracle
Network's first fund-raising effort was a television special broadcast by
30 television stations and originating from a small studio in Provo, Utah.
That first year Children's Miracle Network and 22 hospitals in the United
States raised $4.7 million
