Elite Racer Jason Wolfe Wins 5th Annual Sedona Marathon
Setting New Course Record
Sedona, Feb 6, 2010 - Runner Jason Wolfe of Flagstaff, Arizona took an
early lead and finished the Sedona Marathon setting a new course record of
2:44:22 beating the old record set by Corbin Talley in the Inaugural race
of 2:44:49.. Ryan Stevens also of Flagstaff took second with a time of
2:55:02 and Jonathon Scoville of Provo, Utah took third with and overall
time of 3:05:50.
In the Women's Division Erin Bennion of Cedar City Utah took first with a
time of 3:30:15 and Katherine Metzger of Phoenix, Az took second running
3:35 23. Linda Vigil of Carlsbad, California was third with a time of
3:45:50.
In the half-marathon Men's Division Runners from Flagstaff, AZ dominated.
In the Men's division the overall winner was Andrew Middleton with a time
of 1:10:49, closely followed by Celedonio Rodriguez who had a time of
1:12:32. Third place finisher was David Nilsson whose time was 1:14.12.
Middleton is a member of Team USA Arizona and also set a new course record.
In the Women's division Tia Accetta of Tucson Arizona came in a full
fifteen minutes in front of her closes competitor with a time of 1:26:41.
She was followed by Susan Gordon of Sedona, Arizona who had a time of
1:42:32 and Elia Tattar of Egan Minneasota whose time was 1:45:12.
The 5K Men's Division's first place winner was Chris Gomez of Flagstaff,
AZ with a time of 16:58. Gomez was followed by Phil Wharton whose time
was 17: 52. Aaron Biah of Flagstaff, AZ took third with a time of 18:17.
In the women's division Andrea Klimowski of Flagstaff took first with a
time of 21:06. Katherine Phillips of Tucson, AZ took second with a time of
21:08 and Ellen Strickler of Flagstaff took third with a time of 21:34.
