                SALT LAKE CITY MARATHON & 5K PUTS 
                  TOGETHER WINNING TEAM FOR 2005


Promotions to Positions of Vice President of Race Operation and Race
Director

Salt Lake City, August 19, 2004  - Following the successful launch of the
inaugural Salt Lake City Marathon, Run, Bump & Boogie on April 24, 2004,
Devine Racing of Salt Lake City, L.L.C. has announced promotions to top
positions intrinsic to the race's continued growth and success.  Chris
Devine, CEO of Devine Racing, a seasoned marathoner, business owner and
event manager has always dreamed of staging this marathon in Salt Lake 
City. "I believe in hiring the right talent and treating them like family 
for the greatest success," said Devine, who owned and ran the Chicago 
Marathon from 1993-1996.

Scott Kerr has been named Vice President of Race Operations for Devine
Racing.  He will continue to oversee the entirety of the Salt Lake City
Marathon, but his expanded focus will shift to additional races and 
sporting events nationally and internationally.  Kerr will oversee new race 
ventures in select cities and will direct transition, management and 
operations for newly acquired races in major metropolitan markets.

Greg Reid has been named Race Director for the 2005 Salt Lake City 
Marathon. He acted as Assistant Race Director for the successful 2004 race, 
and brings a wealth of sporting event logistics experience to the overall 
race management, including management of Village Services for the Olympic 
and Paralympic Athlete Village during the Olympic Winter Games.  While 
Manager of Plaza and Community Events for Salt Lake City for a 10-year run, 
Reid was responsible for the Salt Lake City Classic 5 & 10K race, Spring 
Tip-Off 5K and management of the Gallivan Center.  Reid's background 
includes marketing in the athletic department at the University of Nevada, 
Las Vegas and he holds a masters degree in sport management from West 
Virginia University. "It's an exciting time for us at Race Headquarters.  
With one year under our belt, we have the opportunity to truly build a race 
that everyone in Salt Lake City can be proud of."

Slated for the second running on April 23, 2005, the Salt Lake City 
Marathon & 5K, themed "Run, Bump & Boogie," is destined to become one of 
the most spectacular destination Marathons in the country.  A prize purse 
of $125,000 immediately propels the Salt Lake City Marathon & 5K into the 
top ten marathons in the country.  A portion of participant entry fees from 
the race are donated to The Huntsman Cancer Institute, the premiere cancer 
research and care facility in the Intermountain West.

Registration is open and is expected to fill quickly at 
www.saltlakecitymarathon.com where entrants can download entry forms, 
course descriptions and entry details. The 26.2-mile scenic downhill course 
makes it an appealing run for a wide range of entrants.

Devine Racing, L.L.C. was created to acquire and oversee world-class 
amateur athletic events in major destination cities -- particularly 
marathons, triathlons and road races. With a goal of acquiring prominent 
running events, the intent is to build them into the most well-respected 
running events in the world. Devine Racing focuses on enhancing the 
participant experience, building an entire weekend of spectacular events 
from fitness expos to concerts by major national touring acts designed to 
celebrate the accomplishments of the athletes.
