Press Release - Rock 'n' Roll Seattle Marathon - 8/17/20

     Update on The 2020 Rock 'n' Roll Seattle Marathon & 1/2 Marathon

We appreciate the continued patience of our participants since our last 
communication. After working with various host city partners over the last 
couple of months, we were hopeful that we would be able to confirm a new 
event date for later this year.
 
Unfortunately, after assessing all event scenarios and due to directives in 
King County regarding the COVID-19 Recovery Phase,the Rock 'n' Roll Seattle 
Marathon & 1/2 Marathon originally scheduled for June 6-7 cannot take place 
in 2020. The event will return on June 12-13, 2021 as a half marathon 
event. All registered participants of the 2020 Rock 'n' Roll Seattle 
Marathon & 1/2 Marathon will be receiving an email with further details.
 
In what has been a continually evolving and challenging time globally, not 
being able to hold one of the most iconic Rock 'n' Roll Marathon Series 
events is highly disappointing for everyone involved, but we are determined 
to come back to Seattle in 2021 even stronger.
 
We thank our participants for their commitment and look forward to 
providing them with an exceptional race experience in the future.
