MISSISSAUGA - The 11TH annual Mississauga Marathon took place this weekend
as more than 9,000 runners took to the streets of scenic Mississauga.

"We are thrilled to bring the community together for another great
Mississauga Marathon event," said Krystal Duz, Race Director. "We are proud
to have elite Marathon runners as well as first timers with participants in
every age and skill level."

Over race weekend 9,246 participants took part in the 2014 Mississauga
Marathon as the SUBWAY® Restaurants 2K Fun Run with over 1000
participants and the Starbucks Hazel 5K with over 1500 sold out while the

residents, spectators, volunteers, fundraisers raising money through our
Scotiabank Charity Challenge in addition to our great City of Mississauga."

The Mississauga Marathon is truly a community event. More than 1,500
volunteers contributed to the success of the weekend, while thousands of

and cheering squads. The finish area at Lakefront Promenade Park offered
live music and entertainment for all runners, friends and families.
