Rudy Perpich Public Service Award Nominations Accepted through April 12

(Duluth, Minn.) You don't have to be a runner, volunteer or spectator in
order to play a role in this year's 37th Grandma's Marathon. Public
nominations are being accepted for the 2013 Rudy Perpich Public Service
Award through Friday, April 12.

Nominees may be any current or former public employee or elected official
who has exhibited dedication to Grandma's Marathon by contributing time,
energy and service to the annual running of the event. The nomination
application is available at www.GrandmasMarathon.com or by calling (218)

In 2006, Grandma's Marathon created the Rudy Perpich Public Service Award,
named after the late Minnesota governor who was a tremendous supporter of
the annual event.

Up to three individuals will be chosen to receive the 2013 award and will
be honored at an award ceremony on Thursday, June 20. For ticket details or
