              35th Grandma's Marathon Registration Now Open

(Duluth, Minn.) Registration for the 2011 Grandma's Marathon opened today. 
The entry fee through September 30 is $80. On October 1, the fee will 
increase to $85 (see complete fee structure below).

which is set for Saturday, June 18 at 7:30 a.m. Along with the opening of 
registration, the race has also unveiled a newly designed and updated Web

"We're excited to launch the new look to our Web site at the same time as 
marathon registration for our 35th anniversary," said Scott Keenan, 
executive director of Grandma's Marathon. "Next year's event is one you 
won't want to miss. We have some exciting things in store and we're already 
busy preparing for the celebration."

As part of the 35th anniversary celebration, all marathon participants will 
receive a commemorative Grandma's Marathon cinch bag and an aluminum water 
bottle. The 26.2-mile race is limited to the first 10,000 participants.

2011 Grandma's Marathon Entry Fee Structure
$80 - July 1 to September 30
$85 - October 1 to January 31
$90 - February 1 to March 31
$100 - April 1 to May 31

The 35th Grandma's Marathon weekend also will feature the 21st annual Garry 
Bjorklund Half Marathon and the 18th annual William A. Irvin 5K. 

Registration for those two events will begin next February and March, 
respectively. The Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon will take place on  
Saturday, June 18 at 6:30 a.m. and the William A. Irvin 5K on Friday, June 
17 at 6 p.m.
