DELTA AIR LINES SUPPORTS LOCAL HANDICAPPED ATHLETE
Official Airline of ING Georgia Marathon Names Scott Rigsby
Honorary Captain of Delta Race Team

ATLANTA, March 21, 2007– Delta Air Lines today announced that Georgia
native Scott Rigsby will be named the honorary captain of the 2007 Delta
Race Team in the inaugural 2007 ING Georgia Marathon. Rigsby, a double
amputee, will lead more than 50 Delta employees as they race through the
heart of Atlanta on Sunday, March 25, 2007.

The ING Georgia Marathon will be Rigsby's record attempt at his first full
marathon. He hopes to become the only below-the-knee double amputee in the
world to complete such a feat.

In 1986, Rigsby suffered a life-changing injury when a car accident left
him a double amputee. Twenty years and 26 surgeries later, Rigsby's
determination and 'don't quit' attitude has led him to become an
outstanding role model for individuals with physical disabilities. Since
the accident, Rigsby graduated from the University of Georgia and became
the first double amputee to complete the New York City Triathlon. He is
currently the only person in the United States running Olympic distance
triathlons on prosthetics. His goal is to become the first double amputee
in the world to complete an Ironman competition, set to take place this
June in Idaho.

"It's a great honor to be named captain of the Delta Race Team," said
Rigsby. "As a Georgia native, it is a wonderful feeling to team up with a
hometown company such as Delta Air Lines. I have made it my duty to promote
education and awareness of physically challenged athletes. Each day my
goal is to encourage other amputees to break down barriers which
unfortunately do exist. This race is dedicated to my family, friends and
everyone that has supported me along the way."

As honorary captain of the Delta Race Team, Rigsby will wear a Delta logo
during the inaugural ING Georgia Marathon. With Delta's support, he will
continue his mission to prove doubters wrong and make it easier for
amputees to break down barriers.
