Press Release - Country Music Marathon - 3/3/09

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

FOOT LOCKER COUNTY CHALLENGE RETURNS TO THE
COUNTRY MUSIC MARATHON ON SATURDAY, APRIL 25, 2009

Closing Date for Submitting Applications is March 13th

NASHVILLE, Tenn., (March 3, 2009) – Returning to the Country Music Marathon
for its 8th year as the 'race within the race', the Foot Locker County
Challenge is placing a call for local runners to participate in the 2009
event.

The Foot Locker County Challenge is a unique program in which five Country
Music Marathon runners from the Nashville area are selected to represent
their county during the race. One runner from Davidson, Williamson,
Rutherford, Sumner and Wilson counties will be chosen to represent their
community and vie for the coveted title. After running together as a group
for the first 13 miles, the participants break off and compete to capture
the title of Foot Locker County Challenge Champion.

"Foot Locker has been a long-time supporter of the Country Music Marathon,
and the Challenge gives them the opportunity to get involved in a unique
way with some of the participants from the greater Nashville area," said
Adam Zocks, General Manager. "The 'race within the race' is one of our most
popular competition events and we are encouraging all local runners to
apply for this once in a lifetime marathon experience."

Runners already registered for the event can complete a questionnaire about
their running experience and explain why they should be chosen to represent
their county at www.cmmarathon.com/flcc. Contenders will be chosen based
on their expected finish times, which should be between 3:45 and 4:00.
Unique stories are an important part of the selection process, during which
a select group of applicants are interviewed by a panel of Foot Locker and
Country Music Marathon representatives.

The selected athletes will be introduced at an official Country Music
Marathon press conference on Thursday, April 23. All five participants
will receive exclusive gear from Sugoi, the official apparel partner of the
Country Music Marathon & Half Marathon along with VIP treatment on race
day.

The Challenge winner will receive an exclusive trophy from Tiffany & Co., a
two-night stay at the Hilton Nashville Downtown or Union Station Hotel, and
the chance to meet the headlining artist at the post-race concert the night
of the marathon. Eligible applicants can register on the Country Music
Marathon & Half Marathon website at www.cmmarathon.com/flcc. The deadline
for applications is March 13, 2009.
