Press Release - Boston Marathon - 4/13/17

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

B.A.A. Makes Contribution in Support of Martin's Park
Boston's newest park will be universally accessible for all children.

BOSTON - The Boston Athletic Association (B.A.A.) today announced that a
contribution of $20,000 will be donated to the construction of Martin's
Park at Children's Wharf in honor of Martin W. Richard. The B.A.A., along
with John Hancock Financial and the Producers of BOSTON, the first
feature-length documentary chronicling the Boston Marathon, have pledged to
support Martin's Park, a universally accessible park and playground along
the Fort Point Channel in South Boston.

"With the premiere of BOSTON on One Boston Day, we are honored to
contribute to the memory of Martin and all those who were so profoundly
affected by the 2013 Boston Marathon through this donation," said Tom
Grilk, B.A.A. Chief Executive Officer. "Martin's Park will be a new Boston
landmark symbolizing what is special about this city: unity, resilience,
and strength."

A portion of all ticket sales to the world premiere of BOSTON were donated
to Martin's Park. All are encouraged to make additional donations to
Martin's Park by visiting https://www.crowdrise.com/martins-park.

Constructed by the Boston Parks and Recreation Department, Martin's Park
will be universally accessible adjacent to the Boston Children's Museum.
Martin's Park will provide a chance for children, families, and visitors of
all abilities to come together.

On April 15, 2017, One Boston Day will again be celebrated in the City of
Boston. Each year, One Boston Day serves as an opportunity to recognize the
resiliency, generosity, and strength demonstrated by the people of Boston
and those around the world in response to the tragedy of April 15, 2013. On
the evening of April 15, BOSTON will premiere at the Boch Center Wang
Theatre in Boston, chronicling the history of the Boston Marathon from its
inaugural run in 1897 through the memorable 2014 race that personified the
Boston Strong spirit.

Directed by award winning filmmaker/marathoner Jon Dunham, well known for
his Spirit of the Marathon documentaries, produced by Academy Award nominee
Megan Williams, and executive produced by Academy Award nominee Frank
Marshall, BOSTON is a presentation of John Hancock Financial in association
with The Kennedy/Marshall Company and in cooperation with the B.A.A. The
film is narrated by Matt Damon.
