Press Release - Belfast City Marathon - 3/27/19

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Brand new BIGGER design medal for Deep RiverRock
                      Belfast City Marathon Runners

The event organisers of the Deep RiverRock Belfast City Marathon are
delighted to reveal a new BIGGER design medal for all Marathon finishers
this year!

The bespoke medal is reflective of the new start line at the iconic
Stormont Estate and will be a fantastic momento as the event makes history
this year, taking place on a Sunday for the first time ever.

The 38th Deep RiverRock Belfast City Marathon will take place on Sunday 5th
May 2019 with a brand new flatter faster route for Marathon and Team Relay
participants, finishing in Ormeau Park. Ideal for a first marathon or to
set the much sought after PB, marathon numbers are already at a record high
since the event launched in 1982 with over 5,000 expected to take part in
2019.

In addition to the Marathon, there is an event to suit all levels of
abilities on 5th May including the Team Relay, 9 Mile Walk and 2.5 mile Fun
Run. All participants will enjoy their own bespoke brand new design medal
(a first ever for the Fun Run event).

It's not too late to sign up. You could make history this year and receive
a fantastic new BIGGER design medal to reward your 26.2 mile journey. Sign
up for the 38th Deep RiverRock Belfast City Marathon NOW via the MyTicket
app at www.belfastcitymarathon.com. The final deadline for entries will be
at midnight on Friday 12th April 2019.
