From the rolling hills of England to the rugged trails of Kansas, this past weekend delivered an exciting slate of marathons with standout performances across the board. The Brighton Marathon in the United Kingdom was the largest event among the marathons held on April 5–6, 2025, with up to 12,000 participants across its various races.

The men’s race saw Sam Cook emerge victorious, completing the course in 2:26:48. Cook is a local athlete known for his dedication to community fitness programs in Brighton. On the women’s side, Helen Reid took the top spot with a time of 2:53:00, adding to her impressive marathon portfolio.

Trailbreaker Marathon – Waukesha, WI (April 6, 2025)

In the women’s division, Relena Ribbons secured victory with a time of 3:00:04. Ribbons is an environmental scientist specializing in forest ecology, actively involved in research on sustainable land management practices. ​

Southampton Marathon – Southampton, UK (April 6, 2025

Daniel Gaffney clinched first place in the men’s race with a time of 2:35:08. Gaffney has previously recorded a personal best of 2:23:04 in the marathon, showcasing his consistent elite performance. In the women’s category, Jennifer Badger led with a time of 2:58:58, marking a significant achievement in her running career.​

Delaware Marathon – Wilmington, DE (April 5, 2025)

In the men’s division, Adam Willis secured first place with a time of 2:41:25. Willis is recognized in the ultra-running community, having notable finishes in various endurance events. The women’s race was led by Adriana Vastag, who finished in 4:15:17, demonstrating remarkable perseverance throughout the course.​

Golden Gate Headlands Marathon – Sausalito, CA (April 5, 2025)

Everest Schipper dominated the men’s race, finishing in 3:36:49. Schipper is an avid trail runner who often participates in races that emphasize environmental conservation. In the women’s category, Caylin Sylvia led with a time of 4:39:47, showcasing her strength on the challenging trails of the Marin Headlands. ​

The Cheap Marathon – Derry, NH (April 5, 2025)

The men’s race was won by Mitchell Dailey, who posted a time of 2:27:17. Dailey is known for his strategic pacing and has a history of strong finishes in New England marathons. In the women’s division, Stephanie Snow secured victory with a time of 3:04:42, adding another commendable performance to her running career. ​

Salisbury Marathon – Salisbury, MD (April 5, 202

Devin Horseman-Guy took the men’s title with a swift 2:27:38 finish. Horseman-Guy has a background in collegiate track and field, having competed for Frostburg State University. In the women’s race, Kara Lombardo finished first in 3:05:59, marking a significant personal achievement.

Rockin K Trail Marathon – Kanopolis State Park, KS (April 5, 2025)

In a closely contested men’s race, Stephen Kielhofner edged out the competition with a time of 4:08:20. Kielhofner has an impressive track record, including a 5th place finish in the 1500 meters at the Big 12 Outdoor Track & Field Championships. The women’s race was led by Mindy Coolman, who completed the challenging trail course in 5:21:38, exemplifying endurance and determination.​

Knoxville Marathon – Knoxville, TN (April 5, 2025

Alec Sandusky dominated the men’s race, crossing the finish line at 2:22:32. Sandusky is a professional athlete with multiple marathon victories to his name. In the women’s division, Gina Rouse led with a time of 2:54:36. Rouse is a seasoned marathoner known for balancing her athletic pursuits with a career in education.​

REVEL Mt Charleston – Las Vegas, NV (April 5, 2025)

The men’s marathon saw Nate Hess take first place with a time of 2:22:38. Hess specializes in downhill marathons, leveraging the terrain to achieve personal bests. In the women’s race, Diana Mitchell secured victory with a time of 2:39:41, highlighting her strength in high-altitude competitions.​
