The marathon follows a scenic Boston-qualifying course through the city of Memphis. The course passes through the St. Jude campus, where patients, their families and other onlookers gather to cheer.

Running partners and longtime friends Tom Ross and Daniel Vassel have found a new way to make their morning runs count. The two are training to compete in the St. Jude-Memphis Half Marathon Dec. 2 in Memphis.
