"Cute race, but very small and not an easy course" (about: 2022)

Ran the 2022 race. Weather was cool at the start (55 degrees) but quite hot by the finish (75), with the course exposed to the sun for the late portions of the race. A suggestion - have the race start at 7am not 8am.First half of the course was great, but the second half was def more challenging. And the last 2.2 miles were tough both mentally and physically (hills, gravel, lots of turns). Total marathoners is about 200, water stations were a bit sporadic (it is suggested that runners bring their own water), and very minimal crowd support (as my friend who also ran it said "bring your own spectators!") Most of the course is on a paved bike path, with some on the shoulder of a highway. No swag t-shirt with entry but then again, the entry fee is quite reasonable.

On a more positive note, the organizers and volunteers were the nicest people, there's beer and a boxed lunch at the end of the race, and parking on the morning of the race is close, abundant and easy. The finisher's medal is very decent.

Bottom line: a nice race, but no real need to run it again.
