COURSE: 5 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 2 I only ran the half marathon here and this was my second year in a row. As much as I love this event, I would not want to run a full indoors. The event itself is AWESOME!!!! A perfect amount of runners on the course where it was never crowded but also never alone. I run 8 minute miles on half marathons and finished the race in 1:43. I passed the same people several times but also got passed by the college track kids several times as well. Organization is flawless!!!! They count your laps with a chip, the aid station was perfect for whenever you needed hydration, and the post race food is great! A must do event for me every year. Lucky for me, it's only 30 minutes from my house | |

 "Perfect Winter Race for Midwesterners" (about: 2017)

COURSE: 5 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 5 If you are like me and live in the Midwest, you may struggle to run consistency in the dead of winter. This past winter, it was this race that helped keep me on track (well, ok, at least closer to on track). It was nice to participate in a race where you don't have to worry about the weather, logistics of getting to the start/finish lines, & where friends and family may be able to see you. All of these are taken care of - it's guaranteed to be a perfect 50ish degrees with no rain or wind, the Pettit Center has ample parking, and spectators are able to watch you run the entire race. Added bonus was that the race director accepts and plays individual song requests. Looking forward to running this again next year. | |

COURSE: 5 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 5 Well organized race. Race day packet pickup a breeze. Aid station crew did a awesome job. You call out your number and then on the next lap they hand your bottle to you with water or Gatorade. If you need anything else they are on it. I needed a pin for my race number they had it. Later in the race they gave out gels. Very complementary and supportive the whole time and I was there for five hours. Great temperature wore shorts and a singlet. Played great music and took request. Bathrooms at each end of the lap. Two hockey games and speed skaters to watch. Nice long run in the winter time. |
