I ran the half and the full is two laps on the full. This a great venue for a run. The organization is top notch and you can tell the organizers really care. The view are awesome and the after race ammenties include a salad and Calzone.. plus the usuals. I'm really surprised it doesn't fill up. I've run events that were terribly organized that were packed. This one is a hidden gem. Tip...park in the free Lionhead Lot and take the free shuttle.

This is a great race. I do not understand why it is under the radar.

Great town, easy access from Denver if you are traveling in. Start and finish are downtown just outside your hotel door. You can walk out 5 minutes before the start if you are so inclined. Beautiful route, some rolling hills but nothing extreme. A great deal of it on a greenway. Altitude is 8,000 + and this came into play for this east coast guy. Very small field when the half marathoners finish after the first loop. Water stops were frequent and well staffed and encouraging. Easy friendly package pickup, and post race was well staffed and offered more than the standard post race fare.
